Topps Desert Storm trading cards

Though Tony Horwitz's book Baghdad Without A Map is based on travels in the late 1980s, it is still very relevant today.  The author recounts his many adventures while working as a freelance journalist-- a meeting with a Peugeot-driving Qaddafi, attending Ayatollah Khomeini's funeral, touring war torn Yemen in a rental car, etc.  The chapter about Operation Desert Storm brought back memories.

I was in high school.  Jingoism coursed through the veins of every male student.  We all had yellow ribbons tied to our car antennas.  I even bought an Operation Desert Storm t-shirt.  And what about Desert Storm trading cards, from the good people at baseball card purveyor Topps?

Ignore the host with the weird mask.
