Late '80s Mustang and Camaro

Back in high school, these were the cars to have.

The steering wheel in the Ford looks remarkably similar to a Ford Sierra wheel. Also, I was surprised by the soft touch tailgate in the Camaro. I didn't even realize the 350 was an option in the Camaro. I've only seen 305s.

Chris Moran makes some fairly interesting videos, but something about him just rubs me the wrong way. I prefer Saabkyle's style.

@Edvin: 350 all the way. Being the rebel in high school, I only referred to the 350 as the 5.7 liter. I even wrote a report about it for my drivers education class!

Moran's stuff is great. The difference is he's a salesman.

I meant to write soft close tailgate, not soft touch. :)

Now that I looked into it I found one, maybe two, original 5.7s for sale here. I guess I've never paid any attention to them before. Pretty steep prices though.

I just find Moran a bit monotonous at times, but then again he actually drives many of the cars, unlike Saabkyle.

Also, Moran has that typical car salesman trait that his mind may pause for a moment but his mouth just keeps on going. :)

I remember playing in the front yard with some friends when I was 10 or so. A new, shiny red IROC-Z turned the corner and before it even pulled into the driveway I knew my dad had bought a new car. Later that night I "helped" him put in a cold air intake and a cat-back. Later that week I remember him covering the speedo and asking me how fast I thought we were going - 130 MPH if my memory serves.

That was a pretty fun car.

My friend Mike had a built IROC-Z. He was coming home one day and decided to pass a early 90's Passat Wagon. He sped up and so did the Passat. They continued until Mike hit about 140mph as realized he could not keep up with the Passat.

Mike later learned that the Passat Wagon was built as an ultimate sleeper.
